   Optical Metrology Facility

  • The facility includes the classical testing and measuring techniques, such as the foucault and ronchi tests.

  • Surface figure measurement devices include, Zygo, Interferometers with 4, 18, and 32 inch beams, a laser unequal path interferometer (LUPI), Bauer scanning profilometer, Continental long trace profilometer (LTP), Cranfield 1 meter profilometer, Tallysurf and Tallystep profilometers, a Grant microdensitometer for measuring interferograms, 1 meter collimator and a diffraction limited 16 inch goertz collimator.

  • Surface finish devices include: three Wyko inferometric microscopes with 2D and 3D detectors, optical heterodyne profilometer, and two bidirectional reflection distribution function (BRDF) instruments (UV and visable sources).
